The World Intellectual Property Organization is one of the 15 specialized agencies of the United Nations (UN). Pursuant to the 1967 Convention Establishing the World Intellectual Property Organization, WIPO was created to promote and protect intellectual property (IP) across the world by cooperating with countries as well as international organizations.
WIPO launched a new initiative, the Global Awards for SMEs competition, which aims to encourage the commercialization of IP assets by rewarding SMEs that innovate with IP. The competition seeks to identify creative commercial solutions based on IP rights that impact economic, social and cultural progress.
Twenty innovative small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are chosen from among 272 submissions from 62 countries for the prize. IntoCare is very proud to be one of them in the finalist.
